GRAVAL ROAD

The GRAVAL spirit on tarmac. Climbs, mountains and roads almost nobody rides.
GRAVAL Road is a 600 km road event with 10,000 m+ and more than 13 mountain passes through Valencia, Teruel, Castellón, Albacete and Cuenca. You have 65 hours to finish the route, fully unsupported. As every year, the route is new.

GRAVAL Bikepacking Adventure returns in October 2027. A new gravel adventure of more than 400 km, starting and finishing in València. New tracks, new mountains and the same unsupported philosophy.

Crossing Iberia on tarmac, unsupported, all the way to the Mediterranean.
A new road ultracycling crossing will traverse the peninsula in 2027. More than 1,000 km unsupported, a new start city and a single destination, València.

Road, 2027 edition. Bikepacking Adventure and Iberian Road, 2026 data. The 2027 routes may change.
No outside support. Only what you carry and what you find on the route. You manage your rest, your food and your repairs. Friends and family cannot help you. You may accept help from people you meet on the route who offer it voluntarily.
Find a way to fix it on your own, with what you carry or at a bike shop. If you need a car, only someone you meet on the route who offers to help can drive you, never a friend or family member. Once it is fixed, return to the exact point where you left the route and continue from there.
Wherever you find along the way, whenever you decide. You may only book in advance the night before the start. Everything else is booked once the event has started. If you leave the route to find food, water or a place to sleep, rejoin it at the same point.
A bike in good condition, not electric, and what you need to solve mechanical problems. The organisation provides a GPS tracker with a refundable 50 € cash deposit, and registration includes basic accident insurance. Mandatory kit is listed in the rules of each event.
You sort it out on your own, as on a normal training ride. The organisation does not pick you up. Let the organisation know and get the tracker back to us at the finish or by post to recover your deposit.
GRAVAL Road and GRAVAL start in València and Iberian Road finishes in València. You can arrive by plane, train or bus. GRAVAL Road has an official hotel, Hotel Medium Valencia, with a discount.
